Chandrasekar is a Process Consultant with more than 25 years of experience specialized in implementation of best available techniques in view of maximizing process and energy efficiency while reducing GHG emissions in LNG, Gas Processing, Oil and Gas facilities both in Onshore and Offshore. He has hands-on design experience in refinery processes, refinery hydrogen and flare networks and Synthesis gas (hydrogen) production facilities and operating experience with Ammonia process. He has worked for major operators like TOTAL, Eni and BP and has also worked for major engineering contractors (Viz., Technip, Worley Parsons, KBR, Bechtel, and Petrofac) in various roles and responsibilities. With Proven leadership and excellent communication skills, he has contributed in resolving wide range of engineering, operational, and safety related issues that arise during project development and execution.

He was born and grew up in India and holds an Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Anna University, Chennai.

Mr Arappalli’s presentation will cover an overview of global energy demand and how it reflects in increasing greenhouse gas emissions which in turn result in global warming. He will share with the audience his insights regarding the energy transition initiatives being undertaken to replace fossil fuels and consider hydrogen as energy vector – the objective being zero greenhouse gas emission by 2050. The talk will be followed by Q&A
