Mr. Mohan Rao, an engineer by profession, brings decades of international experience. After completing his schooling in Italy, he pursued his Engineering Degree in India and a Master’s in the UK. His illustrious career spans roles across IBM Europe in Rome, Brussels, and Paris, culminating as Director of PC Products, where he oversaw the launch of the IBM Personal Computer in Europe. He later led the successful transition of IBM's Information Products Division to Lexmark as Vice President for Europe.
Now retired, Mr. Rao dedicates his time to mentoring and funding startups in France and India, bringing a wealth of experience to new and innovative ventures.
Recently, Mr. Rao had the unique opportunity to participate in an engineering visit to ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor), one of the most ambitious and groundbreaking energy projects in the world.
Located in Southern France, ITER is an international collaboration between leading global powers, including India and France, aiming to replicate the fusion process that powers the Sun.
His talk, is titled “Capturing the Sun in a Gas Cylinder”
